Normally averaging hundreds per year, last year the U.S. had almost 1,800 citizens renounce their citizenship and move overseas. The number of wealthy Americans dropping their citizenship has grown sevenfold in the four years since a whistleblower at UBS prompted a crackdown on tax evasion, according to a separate Bloomberg report.
The latest, Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin, stands to potentially save hundreds of millions of dollars by giving up his citizenship, and according to an immigration attorney and expert on citizenship matters, saving on taxes – especially capital gains duties – is usually the reason people make the decision.
John Dorrance III, the heir to the Campell’s Soup fortune, ditched his U.S. citizenship and moved to Ireland before selling his stake in the family business, according to Forbes.

SHAME ON AMERICA FOR LOSING ITS LUSTRE....
America is no longer as attractive to highly successful people as we like to think.
People say the dollar isn't what it used to be. Apparently neither is a United States passport. Last year, nearly 1,800 American expatriates renounced their citizenship, according to Treasury Department figures.
What gives?
Here's the real issue: When it comes to attracting highly successful people, America is just not as competitive as we like to think we are. What we need is a complete rethink.
That rethink begins with a hard look at what these 1,800 citizenship renunciations are telling us. True, 1,800 is a drop in the bucket compared with either the number of Americans working abroad or the number of foreigners who are seeking U.S. citizenship. Still, when it comes to the global inefficiencies of our tax code, these 1,800 ex-Americans are canaries in the coal mine.
Our tax code--and especially the onerous reporting requirements that come with it--is turning U.S. citizens into economic lepers. Many foreign banks refuse us as customers; some investment ventures no longer want us as partners; and some business opportunities that would have benefited Americans now benefit others.
For successful foreigners, our global tax regime tells them this: Avoid entanglements with America. Andrew Mitchel is a Connecticut-based international tax attorney who blogs on these issues. He says that for someone who has foreign assets abroad, the cost-benefit analysis doesn't always come out in America's favor.
"My advice to, say, a small-business man abroad would be to think twice about acquiring U.S. citizenship," says Mr. Mitchel. "Many of these people do not realize what that means for their businesses until they start dealing with the IRS."
All these disincentives flow from a single source: Uncle Sam's insistence on taxing people and companies for what they earn outside U.S. borders.
Jackie Bugnion, a director with the Geneva-based American Citizens Abroad, says the U.S. approach makes no sense at either the individual or corporate level.
At the individual level, says Ms. Bugnion, the IRS imposes a "highly complex, costly double filing." Even so, it produces little revenue because most Americans end up owing no taxes at all because of exemptions and what they pay where they live. Indeed, this is one area where free-marketeers think that America should be more like Europe, which does not tax its citizens overseas.
At the corporate level, taxing overseas earnings means higher capital costs for the U.S. Instead of taxing businesses only for what they earn in America, Ms. Bugnion says, Congress makes things even more complicated by trying to offset the negatives with occasional measures such as deferred taxation on profits earned and reinvested overseas.
In short, America is not facing up to the big question: If you are a dynamic individual with a good business, do you want to be an American--and open up all your world-wide activities to the IRS--or might you be happy living and raising your family in a part of the world that welcomes rather than discourages success? The aforementioned IRS report suggests other countries are busy answering that question, citing a World Bank study showing that, unlike ours, "40 economies made it easier to pay taxes last year."
Now the whole notion that someone would give up U.S. citizenship to get out from the IRS will be taken by some folks as evidence that he or she isn't worthy of American citizenship. Maybe not. Alas, a focus on the punitive only blinds us to the larger costs this approach is inflicting on the rest of society.
Indeed, the whole reason Treasury reports the numbers of Americans renouncing citizenship instead of the State Department is because Congress--Republicans as well as Democrats--set it up that way. The aim is to "name and shame." That's the Berlin Wall approach: The idea that the thrust of U.S. tax law should be to prevent any American from benefiting from a better deal somewhere else.
That a record 1,800 Americans gave up their citizenship last year suggests something else: Instead of building walls to keep talent and investment from getting out, Congress might start treating these as capital we ought to work to attract.

The Hard Working American vs. The Government Parasite  ( Obama's Army..created to collapse the system! )Which lifestyle choice produces better results - being a hard working American or being a government parasite?  Actually, when you look at the cold, hard numbers they may just surprise you.  In America today, we deeply penalize hard work and we greatly reward government dependence.  If you live in a very liberal area of the country and you know how to game the system, it is entirely possible to live a comfortable existence without ever working too much at all.  In fact, there are some Americans that have been living off of "government benefits" for decades.  Many of these people actually plan their lives around doing exactly what they need to do to qualify for as many benefits as possible.  America is rapidly turning into a European-style socialist welfare state and it is destroying our nation socially and financially.  Ever since the "war on poverty" began our debt has absolutely exploded and yet now there are more poor people in this country than ever before.  Obviously something is not working.
Now don't get me wrong.  I deeply believe in having compassion for those that are going through tough times and having a safety net for those that cannot take care of themselves.  We should not have a single person in this nation going without food or sleeping in the streets.
But in America today it is absolutely ridiculous how many people are climbing aboard the "safety net".  At this point, an astounding 49 percent of all Americans live in a home that receives some form of government benefits.
So who pays for all of this?
The people that drag themselves out of bed and go to work each day pay for it all.
For a few moments, let's examine how the lifestyle of a typical hard working American compares to the lifestyle of a government parasite.
In America today, the median yearly household income is somewhere around $50,000.  About half of all American households make more than that and about half of all American households make less than that.  When you break it down, it comes to about $4000 a month.
So how far does $4000 go in America today?
Unfortunately, it doesn't go very far at all.
First of all, a hard working American family will need some place to live.  Unfortunately, the vast majority of the decent jobs are near the big cities, and it is more expensive to live near the big cities.  Let's assume that an average family of four will spend about $1000 a month on rent or on a mortgage payment.
The government parasite, on the other hand, has a whole host of federal, state and local housing programs to take advantage of.  During the recent economic downturn, more Americans than ever have been turning to the government for help with housing costs.  For example, federal housing assistance outlays increased by a whopping 42 percent between 2006 and 2010.
Once you have a place to live, you have to provide power and heat for it.  For the average hard working American, this is going to probably average about $300 a month, although this can vary greatly depending on where you live.
For the government parasite, there are once again a whole host of government programs to help with this.  For example, LIHEAP (Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program) assists low income households in paying their home heating bills.
Most average hard working Americans are also going to need phone and Internet service.  Let's assume that the hard working family of four in our example is extremely thrifty and only spends $100 a month for these services.
For the government parasite, cell phone service is not a problem.  As I have written about previously, those that "qualify" can receive a free cell phone and free cell phone minutes every single month from the federal government.  In addition, in some areas of the nation low income families can qualify for deeply subsidized home Internet service.
In order to earn money, our hard working family is going to need to get to work.  In most households, both parents have decided to work these days so both of them will need cars.  Let's assume that the family is very thrifty and that both cars were purchased used and that the car payments only total about $400 a month.
The hard working family will also need auto insurance for the two vehicles.  Let's assume that both parents have a great driving record and that they only pay a total of about $100 a month for car insurance.
The cars will also need to be filled up with gasoline.  The average U. S. household spent $4155 on gasoline during 2011, but let's assume that our family is very, very careful and that they only spend about $300 on gas each month.
So what about the government parasite?  Well, the government parasite does not need to go to work, so this expense can potentially be eliminated entirely.  But since most other things are paid for by the government or are deeply subsidized, in many instances government parasites are actually able to afford very nice vehicles.
In addition, a new bill (The Low-Income Gasoline Assistance Program Act) has been introduced in Congress that would give "qualifying" households money to help pay for gasoline....

Low-Income Gasoline Assistance Program Act - Directs the Secretary of Health and Human Services to make grants to states to establish emergency assistance programs to pay eligible households for the purchase of gasoline.

A hard working American family is also going to need health insurance.  Well, we all know how expensive health insurance has become.  In fact, health insurance costs have risen by 23 percent since Barack Obama became president.  But let's assume that our hard working family has somehow been able to find an amazing deal where they only pay $500 a month for health insurance for a family of four.
For the government parasite, health insurance is not needed.  If there is an emergency, the government parasite can just go get free medical care at any emergency room.
And of course there is always Medicaid.  Back in 1965, only one out of every 50 Americans was on Medicaid.  Today, one out of every 6 Americans is on Medicaid, and things are about to get a whole lot worse.  It is being projected that Obamacare will add 16 million more Americans to the Medicaid rolls.
So what about food?
Everyone has to eat, right?
Well, the hard working family in our example is faced with an environment where food prices are constantly rising but paychecks are not keeping up.  Let's assume that the hard working family in our example clips coupons and cuts corners any way that it can and only spends about $50 for each member of the family on food and supplies each week.  That comes to a total of $800 a month for the entire family.
So what about the government parasite?
Government parasites need to eat too.
Well, that is where food stamps come in.  Right now, there are more than 46 million Americans on food stamps.  Since Barack Obama became president, the number of Americans on food stamps has increased by 14 million.  Food stamps have become so popular that rappers are even making rap videos about using food stamp cards.
Okay, so after all of this where do we stand?
Well, the average hard working family so far has spent $3500 out of the $4000 that they have to spend for the month.
We still need to find money for clothing, for paying off credit card debt, for paying off student loan debt, for dining out, for entertainment, for medications, for pets, for hobbies, for life insurance, for vacations, for car repairs and maintenance, for child care, for gifts and for retirement savings.
But wait.
There is actually no money left at all because we have forgotten one of the biggest expenses of all.
Taxes.
When you total up all federal, state and property taxes, our average hard working family is going to pay at least $1000 a month in taxes.
So that puts our average hard working family in the hole every single month.
Meanwhile, the government parasite does not pay any taxes because he or she does not earn enough money to be taxed.
Are you starting to get the picture?
In many ways, life can be so much easier when you are constantly taking from the government instead of constantly giving to the government.
New Jersey Governor Chris Christie recently put it this way....

"We'll have a bunch of people sitting on a couch waiting for their next government check"

Once again, I am not dumping on those that have been through all kinds of nightmares because of this economy.  As I have written about so frequently, the U.S. economy is simply not producing enough jobs for everyone anymore, and this is creating major problems.
Just about everyone needs a helping hand at some point, and we should always be compassionate to those that are in need.
However, there is also a growing number of Americans that are content to simply give up and live off of the government, and that is fundamentally wrong.
It is not the job of the U.S. government to take care of you from the cradle to the grave.  What the U.S. government is supposed to do is to make sure that we have a well functioning economy that operates in an environment where hard working individuals and small businesses can thrive, and sadly the U.S. government has failed miserably in that regard.
We desperately need the U.S. economy to be fixed, but I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for that to happen.
As economic conditions get even worse in this country, millions more Americans are going to turn to the government for assistance and at some point the safety net is going to break.

The Department of Justice just can't help itself. Yesterday after the most important provision, or what Arizona Governor Jan Brewer called the "heart" of SB 1070 was unanimously upheld, which allows local law enforcement to inquire about legal status, the feds set up a hotline in the state for people to report "potential" civil rights violations.

And yes, the hotline was set up by the same Civil Rights Division within the Justice Department that refused to prosecute New Black Panther Party members for intimidating voters outside of a Philadelphia polling place in 2008. Also, according to the Washington Times, the Obama administration has ended the partnership between Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the agency has been instructed not to return calls from local law enforcement regarding illegal immigration.

The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

Abortion
On Monday, Roberts joined liberal justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Stephen Breyer, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan in striking down Louisiana’s Act 620. The justices ruled that the law requiring doctors who perform abortions to have admitting privileges at nearby hospitals violates the abortion rights the court announced in the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.

Immigration
On June 18, the court ruled 5-4 against the Trump administration, saying it did not take the proper steps to end the 8-year-old Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, which protects some 650,000 young immigrants from deportation. Roberts wrote the court’s opinion, joined by the four liberal justices.

LGBT rights
The court’s immigration ruling came just days after its June 15 ruling that a landmark civil rights law protects LGBT people from discrimination in employment. Roberts joined the Liberals again!

More Grist for the "John Roberts Is Gay" Mill

Ever since President Bush announced his selection of Judge John G. Roberts, Jr., as his Supreme Court nominee, speculation over whether Judge Roberts might be gay has run rampant throughout the blogosphere. See, e.g., Althouse, Law Dork, and Wonkette. UTR readers have also flooded A3G's inbox with emails citing the following "evidence" that Judge Roberts is gay:

1. Despite being handsome, brilliant, rich, and nice -- in other words, prime marriage material -- Judge Roberts didn't get married until the relatively late age of 41.
2. With all due respect to the perfectly attractive Mrs. Jane Sullivan Roberts, some UTR readers -- not A3G -- have commented that the #5 Superhottie of the Federal Judiciary could have "married someone hotter." According to a UTR correspondent who used to work at Hogan & Hartson, Judge Roberts's former law firm, "many of the older [Hogan] attys are married to good-looking 20-somethings after having dumped their first wives."
3. Judge and Mrs. Roberts have adopted rather than biological children. (The "theory" behind this fact, it seems, is that we therefore have no "proof" of the consummation of the Roberts' marriage.)
4. Judge Roberts has associated with gay people in the past:

(a) As everyone knows by now, he did pro bono work on behalf of gay rights activists, helping out colleagues in their preparation of court filings and oral argument in Romer v. Evans, 517 U.S. 620 (1996).
(b) While Judge Roberts was at Harvard, his pre-law advisor was William LaPiana, a law professor at New York Law School and an openly gay man.
(c) One UTR reader commented that "Roberts has had at least one gay (male) clerk while sitting on the D.C. Cir. I suspect at least one other clerk as well."

Note: A3G has conducted her own mini-investigation into this claim, and she is uncertain of its accuracy. She has accounted for (almost) all of the nine clerks that Judge Roberts has had during his time on the D.C. Circuit, and the clerks that she knows of are all married to or dating people of the opposite sex, or otherwise not believed to be gay. (But if you have the name, rank and serial number of any Roberts clerk who is openly gay -- A3G isn't interested in outing anyone -- please email her.)
Update: It appears that Judge Roberts may have had one gay clerk. At the request of this clerk, however, A3G has deleted a reader comment referring to this clerk by name. Furthermore, she has disabled comments on this post. She thanks you for your consideration.
5. Finally, in terms of evidence of gayness, let's not leave out the notorious plaid pants.

So there's certainly some grist for the "Judge Roberts is gay" rumor mill in the nominee's past (even if much of it is of dubious value). And now, tomorrow's edition of New York Times will throw more fuel on the fire, in the form of this rather interesting article about Judge Roberts's time at Harvard and what it was like to be a campus conservative there during the 1970's.
There are two noteworthy aspects of this article from the "John Roberts Is Gay" point of view. First, check out the provocative third paragraph -- surprisingly high placement, essentially part of the lede -- of Janny Scott's piece:

"Conservatives were like the queers on campus," said Eric Rofes, a classmate of Judge Roberts who later became an organizer on gay issues. "People made fun of them. They mocked them and saw them as jokers or losers. I don't think in the moment many people realized this was the start of an ascending movement. People felt it was like the last cry of the 1950's."

Second, directly to the left of the foregoing paragraph in the online version of the article is a photograph (courtesy Don Scherer) showing Judge Roberts hanging out on Martha's Vineyard with two handsome male friends, Don Scherer and Richard Lazarus. Call Article Three Groupie crazy -- you wouldn't be the first -- but the picture strikes her as pretty "gay-looking."
If you question A3G's basis for deeming this picture "gay-looking," check out the photo for yourself (below right), and then read this (amusingly unhinged) email from a UTR reader:

John Roberts is gay! Look at those smiling buff friends snuggled next to the next Supreme Court Justice on Martha's Vinyard displaying the groumet meal they just made, and THEY will tell you. Now let's hope Roberts is actually confirmed before he's outed like a certain New Jersey Governor! Some legacy for Christian hero W. -- seating the first GAY Supreme Court Justice!* This is SO GREAT!

Oy gay! Are we perhaps getting a little carried away with all of our rumor-mongering concerning Judge Roberts's sexual orientation? After all, the pic was taken on Martha's Vineyard, not Fire Island. And for the record, Scherer is married, as is Lazarus.
More seriously, all of the "Is John Roberts gay?" speculation strikes A3G as pretty pointless, since it's doubtful that we'll ever get a definitive answer to the question. It's highly unlikely that Judge Roberts will show up in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee on September 6 and declare, "I am a gay American." We can hazard all sorts of guesses about Judge Roberts's tastes and proclivities, but we'll never know for sure.
To sum things up, as A3G previously stated, "Is Judge John Roberts gay? Hmm, who knows?" Unless some new and truly compelling information emerges, let's just leave it at that. As far as A3G is concerned, the question of Judge Roberts's possible homosexuality -- like the matter of his two adopted kids -- should be shoved back into the closet. 'Nuff said!
Update: Professor Althouse, despite being on vacation, had some interesting and funny comments to offer on the Times piece. A3G is inclined to agree with her: a good case can be made that the NYT is deliberately making Judge Roberts look gay. And yet, as Professor Althouse notes, "the deniability is intact as ever. It's just three men with a pie... and a mustache... and a glow."
* Uh, who ever said that Judge Roberts -- if he is in fact gay, and if he is ultimately confirmed to the Court -- would be the first gay justice? Certainly not Wonkette: "Okay, serious now: We don't actually think Roberts is gay. We totally wish he was, though! Someone needs to keep Souter company."
And Wonkette may not be alone in her suspicions concerning the #4 Superhottie of the Federal Judiciary. Check out the Oyez biography of Justice Souter, which describes him as "[a] man of unusual and peculiar sensibilities." What exactly does this mean -- is that what they're calling them these days? (It's a bit of a mouthful; A3G prefers the more pithy "friend of Judge Wardlaw.")

The NEW YORK TIMES is looking into the adoption records of the children of Supreme Court Nominee John G. Roberts, the DRUDGE REPORT has learned.
The TIMES has investigative reporter Glen Justice hot on the case to investigate the status of adoption records of Judge Roberts’ two young children, Josie age 5 and Jack age 4, a top source reveals.
Judge Roberts and his wife Jane adopted the children when they each were infants.
Both children were adopted from Latin America.
A TIMES insider claims the look into the adoption papers are part of the paper’s “standard background check.”
Bill Borders, NYT senior editor, explains: “Our reporters made initial inquiries about the adoptions, as they did about many other aspects of his background. They did so with great care, understanding the sensitivity of the issue.”

John Roberts was being blackmailed to make certain Obamacare never falls in a Supreme Court case. The basis of this charge surrounds the fact that a series of strange (and probably felonious) acts are attached to the adoption of his two children.

In 2005, when they thought they were doing the Democrats’ bidding, the New York Times dug into apparently easily accessible records and found that the children Roberts and his wife adopted in “South America” started life as Irish citizens. This is a red flag. The laws of Ireland regarding adoptions are very clear: adoptions by non-citizens are prohibited, as are private adoptions.
Apparently, when the Democrats realized they could control a Supreme Court Justice’s vote through blackmail over his having committed a number of international crimes, the Times pulled back and dropped its investigation. The Democrat paper of record pulled back because it didn’t want to “ break the seal of an adoption case” – as if violating laws ever means anything to Democrats in their quest for power. Keep in mind Barack Obama’s violation of his opponents’ “sealed” divorce records propelled him to a US Senate seat.

What does the Roberts problem mean for the average American who looks to Washington for relief from Democrat oppression? It means we won’t be getting any relief from the Roberts Court, period.

Roberts’ vote on the side of the leftist justices came as a rude surprise to Conservatives. By all accounts, Obamacare was set to be defeated. Five of the conservative justices had even prepared a majority opinion against Obamacare, until one of them — John Roberts — at the 11th hour,  changed his mind, and switched his vote. The formerly majority opinion had to be quickly re-written as a minority dissent.
Roberts’ 11th-hour abrupt switch confounded everyone. Why would an alleged “strict constructionist” who ought to favor limiting governmental power in favor of individual choice, turn into the fifth and deciding vote for Obamacare, which is already changing the United States as we’ve known it. And at the last minute?

A HuffPo article in 2012 claimed that “a source close to the Roberts family, who requested anonymity in order to discuss judicial deliberations, told The Huffington Post that the justice’s wife, Jane, exercises a ‘heavy influence’ over her husband.” Jane Sullivan Roberts is described by Lisa McElroy, author of the biography John Roberts: Chief Justice, as “a very intelligent and high-powered lawyer in her own right.”
Below is an account of what could have led John Roberts to
switchbetray. (Note: The essay is quite long and should be relegated to the realm of unconfirmed rumors.) Briefly, the contention is that Roberts was blackmailed to switch his vote because he and his wife had illegally adopted two infants from Ireland. The Roberts children are now 12 to 13 years old.

Trump Rips Roberts Over Obamacare Decision

Real estate titan Donald Trump isn’t pulling any punches in his criticism of Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts for casting the deciding vote to uphold the healthcare reform law.

“It’s a disaster, and obviously it would have been better if it was knocked out, but Justice Roberts wanted to be loved by the Washington establishment,” Trump told “Fox & Friends” Monday. “And by the way, he is now loved, because the way they’re talking about him, it’s unbelievable. So he is a beloved man to the liberals and to the Washington establishment.”

Roberts justified the law’s requirement that individuals buy healthcare insurance or face a penalty by classifying the mandate as a tax. He also wrote that “we do not consider whether the Act embodies sound policies . . . It is not our job to protect the people from the consequences of their political choices.”


Roberts was “extremely disloyal” in his decision, Trump said. “I only wonder what President [George W.] Bush must be thinking, as he was the one to put him in that position. “[Roberts] voted for it . . . politically. And he did it because he wanted to be loved by the establishment.”

Still, Trump said the Obamacare decision will provide a big boost for Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Trump has worked hard on Romney’s behalf.

At a recent fundraising event held after the Obamacare ruling, Republicans were particularly excited about helping Romney, Trump said. “The energy in that room was five times greater than it would have been a month before,” he said. “It energized the Republican Party. It energized people that don’t want ‘Obamacare,’ of which there are many.”

US Sends Ships, Fighter Jets to Brace for Iran Threat

The United States has quietly moved significant new military forces into the Persian Gulf to discourage an Iranian response to new sanctions imposed on the Islamic Republic.

The American moves are designed to deter Iran from any attempt to shut the Strait of Hormuz and to increase the United States’ ability to strike into Iran if necessary, The New York Times reports in a front-page story on Tuesday.

The increased American forces include minesweepers and stealth jets. And a Pentagon official warned that if Iran’s navy harasses American vessels, “We’ll put them on the bottom of the gulf.”

A European Union oil embargo meant to pressure Iran over its nuclear program came into effect on Sunday, and on Monday Iran announced it would consider legislation to disrupt marine traffic in the Strait of Hormuz.

The legislation calls for the Iranian military to block any oil tanker on its way to countries that no longer buy Iranian crude because of the embargo.

During Iran’s war with Iraq in the 1980s, Iran attacked tankers and other commercial traffic to disrupt Iraq’s oil shipments and threaten shipments from Arab states supporting Iraq. Iran also laid mines intended to disrupt traffic, and the United States launched mine-clearing operations and attacks on the Iranian Navy by American warships.

On Tuesday, Iran test-fired several ballistic missiles capable of striking American bases in the region as well as Israel. Iran claimed the surface-to-surface missiles hit their targets after travelling 800 miles, The Associated Press reported.

America’s Fifth Fleet is based in Bahrain, 120 miles from Iran, and Israel is about 600 miles away.

The U.S. Navy has now doubled the number of minesweepers assigned to the region, to eight.

“The message to Iran is, ‘Don’t even think about closing the strait,” the Pentagon official told The Times. “We’ll clear the mines. Don’t even think about sending your fast boats out to harass our vessels or commercial shipping. We’ll put them on the bottom of the gulf.”

The Pentagon has sent additional F-22 stealth warplanes and older F-15 aircraft to two bases in the Persian Gulf, and carrier strike groups are always on patrol in the region.

The Navy has also moved a converted amphibious transport and docking vessel, the Ponce, into the Persian Gulf. It would serve as a “logistics and operations hub for mine-clearing,” according to the Times, and has a medical suite, helicopter deck, and bunks for combat troops.

And while U.S. troops have been withdrawn from Iraq, the Pentagon still maintains a force equal to a combat brigade in Kuwait.

The West suspects Iran is seeking to build nuclear weapons, and the Islamic Republic has resisted all attempts to force it to give up enrichment of uranium.

I don’t know about you, but the recent “bump” in Obama’s approval numbers are starting to depress me.

Can’t people see that he’s killing the economy, stifling business expansion with taxes and regulations, and fueling the kind of class warfare that tears nations apart?

The thing is, if you study the numbers, it’s not surprising at all. Our nation is now home to countless millions of freeloaders who love a president who tells everyone who actually pays taxes that they aren’t “paying their fair share.” And never runs of out of new ideas for government freebies!


Obama’s Peeps ( PEEPS = FREE LOADERS !! AND UNION THUGS AND PUBLIC SECTOR UNION HACKS!! ) - By The Numbers
To fully understand the depth of the 2012 American economic abyss, you have to contrast the voting public from the freeloading public (Obama's Peeps).

In 2010, there were 137,263,000 registered voters in the United States, although only 95,987,000 actually showed up to vote.

This means Obama needs a measly 48 million voters to get to 50% and to get re-elected. Sounds like a lot of people, but if you actually look at the size of America’s swollen 2012 Welfare State, you’ll see who Obama’s Peeps really are.

The Mail in London just reported that 151 million people - paid no US federal income tax in 2009. Consider that staggering fact. We now have 14 million more freeloaders than registered voters and 56 million more than actual voters! This also means that Obama only needs to get one third of the people who pay no taxes to the polls and he gets reelected.

If that’s not enough, there are now 50 million Americans on Medicaid who pay nothing for their heathcare. Suppose they vote?

What more? How about people who work for the government – don’t you think they love having a big government president determining their salary and benefits? Although only 22 million Americans work for the government (only?), think about the impact of having their spouses, parents, and kids heading to the polls.

Newt has called Obama “The Food Stamp President” and for good reason. Today 42 million Americans receive that famous government handout knows as Food Stamps. Perhaps more staggering than the absolute number is the skyrocketing growth in recipients – up a whopping 58% since Bush left office.

The Nation of Freeloaders
Although the following chart was compiled before Obama took office, the numbers, even back then, were quite staggering.

As you can see, more than 60% of Americans took more from the government than they paid in taxes and the only people pay well more than their “fair share” were those in the top 20% of all earners.

LOOK AT THE GRAPH!!
The number of Americans who work for the private sector, pay taxes, and don’t live off the system is frighteningly small. If you happen to be one of those folks, thank you. And make sure that whatever you do, you don’t vote for Obama. His peeps (people) have us grossly outnumbered.

As depressing as this all sounds, consider this. Obama only needs 48 million voters to get 50.1% and he's paying off over 100 million with our money, yet he's still barely getting a 50% approval. This means that there are tens of millions of Americans that are living off the government and still don't approve of the job he's doing!

I think that reveals what a miserable failure the Obama presidency has been...
